Located near the intersection of Highway 280 and Cahaba Valley Road, Baptist Health Freestanding Emergency Department provides full-service ER care, including 12 private treatment and trauma beds, in a convenient, accessible setting. With emergency-trained providers available 24/7, we deliver the same expert-level care you expect from a hospital ER, just closer to home.
When to Visit an Emergency Room
Emergency rooms are designed to handle life- or limb-threatening conditions. Visit an emergency room if you or a loved one experience:
- Broken or dislocated bones
- Chest pain
- Deep cuts or burns
- Loss of consciousness
- Seizures
- Serious allergic reactions
- Severe trouble breathing
- Trauma injuries
These lists are not all-inclusive. Always rely on your best judgment to determine if you need emergency care.
