Dr. Greg Banks is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Alabama Women's Specialists, affiliated with Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital. With 38 years of experience, he specializes in:
- Robotic surgery for hysterectomy, endometriosis and benign conditions of the pelvis
- Minimally invasive surgery
- Pelvic reconstructive surgery

- Gynecologic care for adolescents and adults

Dr. Banks’ Training
Dr. Banks earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Birmingham Southern College in Alabama, graduating summa cum laude, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he served as chief administrative resident his final year.

Dr. Banks is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American College of Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Banks enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, fishing, writing and riding horses.
